RULES FOR LADIES KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS
The onus is on both sides to make playing arrangements. These arrangements should be made in the cordial spirit of the game. Any unfairness or unpleasantness should be reported immediately to the committee.
Each side must offer at least three dates for play. These dates must include both weekday and weekend dates. Please note five day members can enter but must pay a green fee if their match is arranged at the weekend.
If your opposition do not offer both weekend and weekday dates, you must contact the competition secretary or handicap secretary who will mediate on the issue. Please note this may result in a disqualification.
These dates are to be arranged as soon as possible after the draws for the knockouts have been posted on the notice board.
Holiday dates must be declared from the start and if you know you are going to be unable to play for more than two weeks during one of the rounds, then it may be advisable not to enter the competition.
EXTENSIONS TO PLAYING DATES WILL ONLY BE GIVEN FOR THE FINAL ROUND.
In the winter knockout, extensions will only be given (apart from the final) when there is a course closure.
THE RULE STATING THAT ONE SIDE CAN BE ON THE TEE AT 1PM ON THE FINAL DAY TO CLAIM THE MATCH NO LONGER APPLIES.
Walkovers can only be given after referral to the competition secretary and subject to her approval.
If after the draw has been done, a lady is unable to play for reason of absence, injury or illness, then her place can be taken by another player provided that no games have yet been played by that pair.
Finals must have a referee.
The decisions on any disputes made by the competition secretary and/or handicap secretary or committee will be final.
