COMPETITION DETAILS: 4 games of a nine hole stableford competition held over the winter months.  Competition played on Wednesday and Saturday. Stableford points are accumulated out of the total games played with 3 out of 4 scores to count, with the winner of the Wednesday and Saturday games having a play off for the overall winner. If there is a tie for either Wednesday or Saturday winners they must have a play off to ascertain who gets to the final. Final is played over 9 holes. If there is a tie it goes on count back.

CORONATION FOURSOMES

COMPETITION DETAILS: The qualifying round shall be an 18 hole foursomes stableford held between December – June each year and played on a Wednesday and Saturday. The winners from each qualifying round in GB & Ireland shall be eligible to compete in an Area Final.  If the winning pair are unable to attend an Area Final the first reserve pair may be substituted. The best 100 scores will qualify for the Area Final.  Winners of the national Area Finals will be eligible to play in the Grand Final.

HANDICAP LIMIT: Handicap Index of 40.0 or under. This is an external competition and limit is set by organising body.

STROKE ALLOWANCE: 50% of combined course handicap.

COMPETITION DETAILS: 36 holes medal scratch competition played over two days. All Club Championship competitors are automatically entered into the Van Blerkom Trophy, which is an 18 hole medal played on the second day. In the event of a tie, holes 10 & 9 are to be used for a sudden death playoff.

IDA BUNTING MEMORIAL TROPHY

 

This competition is open to all fully paid up playing members (not social) of the Society of Lady Captains of Essex Golf Clubs - Past and Present. It was given by that Society in memory of Mrs Ida Bunting. The qualifier from each Club will be the best scoring member in a designated round.  The qualifier then goes through to the knockout stages of the competition. Currently the Lady Captain’s Salver has been designated as the qualifying competition.
